These APIs provide users with detailed information about personal (PCA) and business (BCA) current accounts, lending products for small to medium enterprises (SMEL) and commercial credit cards (CCC) offered by HSBC and first direct in the United Kingdom.

How do they work?

These APIs are exposed as REST APIs using a swagger definition file that can be downloaded in the documentation. The data provided through the associated APIs is related to the UK only, and is prepared to the Open API data format and security standards as maintained by the Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE).

In addition to our regulatory obligations we’ve included extensions to allow you to search by product segment.

Personal current account (PCA) products

You can request information about all the PCA products currently available from HSBC UK and first direct in the UK. We’ve also included an extension to allow you to search PCA products by product segment.

Business current account (BCA) products

You can request information about all the BCA products currently available from HSBC in the UK. We’ve also included an extension to allow you to search BCA products by product segment.

Small and medium sized enterprise lending (SMEL) products

You can request information about lending products intended for small and medium sized enterprises available from HSBC in the UK. We’ve also included an extension to allow you to search SME lending products by product segment.

Commercial credit card (CCC) products

You can request information about the commercial credit cards available from HSBC in the UK. We’ve also included an extension to allow you to search for commercial credit cards by product segment.

Use of the APIs and any related data is subject to the terms of the Open Licence and subject to terms and conditions.


How much do they cost?

There are no charges for using these APIs. You don't have to register.
